Welcome to my website

I am a singer and actor, with an interest in new music theatre works of all styles from experimental opera to new musicals. I have sung with Chamber Made Opera, Astra Chamber Music Society, and the ABC, as well as performing my own works in places as far flung as Melbourne, Ballarat, Castlemaine and Mildura. Although my musical tastes are eclectic, (I’ve even sung for a Christian Death Metal Band) I am especially interested in the ways that music and theatre connect with history, place and community.

I am also a singing teacher, and a researcher. A couple of years ago, I completed a PhD on  the physiology and acoustics of the music theatre voice through the University of Sydney. I published a number of articles throughout my candidature in scientific and voice teaching journals.

A few years ago I moved to Bungendore, NSW and have a growing singing studio with singers of all ages from beginners to professional level. I also teach at Canberra Youth Theatre and Radford College, and run a community choir in Bungendore.

In term 3 2019, I will be running a 10 week course on Acting in Song. For more information about this course, click here.

I am also working on some new theatre works including projects with SEAM Inc (Sustainable Environment Arts Movement), an organisation that I Co-Direct that creates community art and performance in response to issues around sustainability and climate change.
